The green bottleneck incense holder is a made using 4 bottlenecks fused and slumped together using kiln forming technique. The temperature used is just enough to flatten and join the 4 pieces keeping the characteristics of the bottle neck. After cooled, a hole is drilled to secure the incense stick in the right position.
Hila Upcycle processes use much less energy compared with standard glass recycling methods. Low temperatures during the reshaping process mean that our products keep many of the characteristics of the original bottle, creating unique, functional and sustainable objects.
Our products are handmade from a variety of reclaimed bottles and artistic in nature. Therefore, variation in colour, tone, texture and size are inherent in the product and are not considered defects. Consider you are always acquiring a sustainable product and also a unique hand-crafted piece.
All of our upcycled glassware is collected from our local community and transformed into something special in Australia.
